About Ruff-Roadz
By Founder & Head Trainer, Julie-Ann Caulfield
My journey as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer at Ruff-Roadz is driven by a passion for enhancing human-canine relationships through clear communication and proven training techniques. As a certified expert and an active member of renowned associations, my mission aligns with creating a world where every dog is understood and nurtured. My approach integrates psychology and animal behavior studies, fostering a deep connection with clients and their furry companions, and ensuring our training methods resonate with Ruff-Roadz's culture of empathy and excellence.
In 2024, I took a step back from training client dogs to fully focus on recovering from an injury. Now that I am finished physical therapy and I’ve made a full recovery, I would love to return to training client dogs, however, I have made the difficult decision not to do so as we come into the year of 2025. I’m deeply saddened by this decision, as I love Ruff-Roadz and our clients, but I think it is the smartest decision for the time being. Over the next year, I will continue to pursue programs that will enhance my skills as a dog trainer. Moving forward, I will continue to update the Ruff-Roadz website and will let everyone know when I’m training clients again.
Ruff-Roadz has directed all of our clients to our colleague, Alex Cost, and we will also refer any new training inquiries to him. Please click the link to discover the fantastic work he is doing for local dogs and their owners!
If you are not local and need help with your dog, we highly recommend searching for a “Training Without Conflict” Certified Trainer near you. TWC trainers are taught by the renowned dog trainer, Ivan Balabanov. We have had the privilege of witnessing the exceptional skills of Ivan, his team, and trainers, and we confidently recommend them for your dog training needs.
